Meet the Gregg Sisters
Hey there! We are Carrie and Monica Gregg, sister-in-laws from the Greater Lansing Area. We married the Gregg brothers and became fast-friends and creative partners nearly 25 years ago. While raising our kids (collectively we have 4), we engaged in many creative endeavors, from refurbishing furniture to styling nurseries to painting murals and styling spaces through decorative painting techniques and reorganization; mostly so we could spend time together and be creative but we always dreamed of someday owning our own business. As the kids went to school, we entered into our prospective fields in respiratory therapy and mental health counseling but never lost our passion for refurbishing and styling… and oh how we love organizing.

Our Vision
A house can be bought and sold, but a “home” is created by the people who reside within it. The feeling of being “home” is often described as a sense of safety and security, a feeling of relief and comfort, a personal sanctuary where you can totally be yourself and feel accepted – it’s a feeling, generated within a physical space.
Hello, I’m Carrie Gregg and I’m completely obsessed with all things house and home…and I should know what I’m talking about because I’m also a licensed therapist! As a child, I never actually played house; instead, I repeatedly decorated the rooms of my doll house with furnishings, rugs and accessories I created from any materials available to me. Of course, I initially set a course to become an Interior Designer, but quickly realized how much math was required of this academic path and changed course (several times) to ultimately become a therapist. I’ve worked in the field of mental health for many years and I’m thankful to know my internal environment as well as I do my external ones (and trust me, I had to clean out a lot of old, hand-me-down furniture within that internal space to make it feel comfortable) Through my role as a therapist, I’ve supported many individuals through their own personal journey to wholeness, balance, and contentment within their internal spaces.
So how do these two worlds intersect? From the time my daughter’s childhood friend commented that our house felt very “homey” and comfortable, I’ve been gripped by the notion that my house generated a comforting feeling within another person – immediately thinking back to my own days as a child, when I was trying to pass time in the car, looking out the window at the passing houses, trying to get a “feeling” about the people who lived there from the vibe of the house. Sometimes the vibe would be warm and glowing and sometimes it would generate negative feelings and I would wonder what life was like within the walls. Clearly, it’s not a direct correlation, but the message is, a house can generate feelings for both the people who reside within it and those who do not. Many times when people are house-hunting, they’re looking for a house that gives them a feeling…that feeling is of-course “home.”
